Over the last three years, Liran Hirschkorn has successfully built two, 7-figure brands on Amazon by creating products that add more value to the customer, understanding keywords, search optimization, and sponsored ads within Amazon’s A9 algorithm.

Building a relationship with your supplier

There are 3 things to keep in mind when looking to build rapport with your supplier:

  1. Set up multiple and reliable communication lines

Bad communication with the supplier could lead to misunderstandings and delays. Make sure you have several ways of reaching your supplier apart from email (i.e. WeChat) so that you can fix issues and communicate product requirements with ease and efficiency.

  1. Payment

Ensure that you and your supplier have set up a payment method and payment term that works for both parties and always remember to pay on time. This will help you develop a more trusting and honest relationship and it could possibly even generate more favorable payment terms.

  1. Maintain a clear understanding of your relationship

Develop a professional working relationship that works for both of you. Be polite and a good customer, visit the factory site often, and definitely be on friendly terms with the supplier. However, do not impose by being aggressive in regards to problems or updates. This could be off-putting for the supplier.
